This hiking route will take you to the beautiful Birehubel peak located in the stunning Gantrisch region. The trail is an out-and-back type, starting at an elevation of 1569 meters and reaching the destination at 1837 meters, with a total distance of 6.147 kilometers and an elevation gain of 335 meters.
As you begin your hike, you will pass by a parking area where you can leave your vehicle before setting off on the trail. Make sure to check the forecast before heading out and bring enough water for the journey. The first point of interest you will encounter is the Untere Gantrischhütte, a restaurant and alpine hut where you can take a break and enjoy a meal. Further along the trail, you will come across the Skilift Gurnigel Wasserscheide restaurant, offering another opportunity to rest and refuel.
As you continue hiking, be sure to stay hydrated and pace yourself as you make your way towards the Birehubel peak, known for its stunning views and as a popular viewpoint in the area. Along the trail, you will also find drinking water sources to refill your bottle.
