This challenging 11.367-kilometer out-and-back trail will take you through the breathtaking alpine landscape of the area. With an elevation gain of 1084 meters, this hike is best suited for experienced hikers looking for a good workout.
Starting from the trailhead, you will pass by Casere Cregnedul di sopra Alpine Hut at the beginning of the hike, where you can take a quick break before continuing on. As you make your way along the trail, you will also come across the historic ruins of an ancient site midway through the hike, offering a glimpse into the area's past.
Further along the trail, you will reach Passo degli Scalini, a natural saddle located 4 kilometers from the start. This is a great spot to admire the panoramic views of the surrounding mountains before continuing on towards the highlight of the hike, Ago di Villacco peak.
At 5.68 kilometers from the start, you will reach the peak of Ago di Villacco, where you can take in sweeping views of the alpine scenery below. Don't forget to snap some photos to commemorate your achievement!
