This hiking route will take you to the stunning Pointe de la Terrasse in the beautiful area near Emosson. The route is an out-and-back type, with a total distance of 10.852 kilometers and an elevation gain of 736 meters, making it a difficult hike that will challenge both your stamina and endurance.

As you make your way along the trail, you will come across several points of interest. Around 4.5 kilometers from the start, you will find a natural water source that is just a short distance from the trail, providing a perfect spot to rest and refill your water supplies. Further along, at 4.66 kilometers, there is another water source and a nearby restaurant and alpine hut called "La cabane du Vieux Emosson" where you can take a break and enjoy a meal.

At 4.81 kilometers from the start, you will reach Col de la Terrasse, a natural saddle, and a viewpoint where you can marvel at the stunning scenery. Nearby, there are information points and traces of dinosaurs for you to explore and learn more about the area's history.

The highlight of the hike is reaching Pointe de la Terrasse at 5.43 kilometers, where you can enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. Make sure to pack plenty of water, wear sturdy hiking shoes, and check the weather forecast before embarking on this challenging adventure.
