Welcome to the Gartzabal hiking route!

Located in a picturesque area with stunning views, this 9.333-kilometer long hike offers a challenging yet rewarding experience for avid hikers. With an elevation gain of 468 meters, expect a workout that will test your endurance and strength.

Starting at the parking area, you'll embark on your journey towards Mugarrien 91. zenbakia, a historic boundary stone and attraction located just a short distance from the trail. As you continue, you'll pass by Ubedo, an archaeological site that adds a touch of history to your adventure.

Midway through the hike, you'll come across Buztanzelai, a peak that offers panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. Take a moment to rest and appreciate the beauty that surrounds you before continuing on towards Buztanzelaiko lepoa and Astateko lepoa, two natural saddles along the trail.

Further along the route, you'll encounter Dolmen Pausogaizto Astate, another archaeological site that provides insight into the region's ancient past. Make sure to stop by Gaineko Benta and Irigoieneko Benta, two restaurants where you can refuel and recharge before heading back.
