This challenging hiking route will take you to the stunning Portachuelo de Llanganuco in Peru. The trail covers a distance of 9.21 kilometers with an elevation gain of 785 meters, making it a difficult trek that will take approximately 4 hours and 5 minutes to complete.
Starting at the trailhead, you will first pass by a parking area just 3 meters away from the trail. Make sure to park your vehicle securely before embarking on this adventure. As you make your way along the trail, you will encounter a campsite located around 129 meters from the start, providing a potential spot for a break or overnight stay.
Around midway through the hike, you will reach the impressive Portachuelo de Llanganuco saddle, situated 4.61 kilometers from the starting point. This natural feature offers breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding landscape, making it a perfect place to rest and take in the scenery.
Continuing on, you will come across a viewpoint also at the saddle, just 5.96 meters from the trail. This vantage point offers an ideal opportunity to capture spectacular photos of the Llanganuco Valley below.
