This hiking route takes you through the beautiful area of Rohntal. The trail is of easy difficulty, spanning a distance of 4.822 kilometers with an elevation gain of 188 meters. It is estimated to take around 1 hour and 35 minutes to complete.

As you start your journey, you will come across various points of interest along the way. At the beginning of the trail, you'll find parking facilities available. Continuing on, you'll pass by the information point "Der Harz für Mountainbiker" located 0.04 kilometers from the start.

As you hike further, you'll reach the Zanthierplatz shelter and information point just 0.47 kilometers into the trail. Nearby, you'll also find the Hans Dietrich von Zanthier-Platz memorial.

Midway through the hike, at around 1.87 kilometers from the start, you'll encounter the Ilsestein peak. This is a great spot to take in some scenic views and enjoy a picnic at the nearby picnic site.

As you make your way back, you'll pass by the Waldhotel Am Ilsestein restaurant approximately 0.04 kilometers from the start. There are also several viewpoints and informational points scattered along the trail for you to explore.
