This hiking route will take you through the stunning area of Couillade de Pedourrés, offering beautiful natural scenery and challenging terrain. The route is an out-and-back type, with a total distance of 10.458 kilometers and an elevation gain of 640 meters, making it a difficult but rewarding hike.
Starting at the trailhead, you will encounter various points of interest along the way. At the beginning of the hike, you will come across Étang du Comte, a picturesque lake located 2.69 kilometers from the start. Further along the trail, at a distance of 1.82 kilometers, you will find L'Estagnol, another lovely water feature to admire.
As you continue your journey, be sure to refuel at the Cabane de la Jasse de Mourguillou ou de l'Étang de Comte, a wilderness hut located 1.76 kilometers from the trail. This is a great spot to rest and enjoy the surrounding nature before heading back.
One of the highlights of the hike is the Cascade des Escaliers waterfall, conveniently located right at the start of the trail. Make sure to take some time to appreciate this natural wonder before embarking on the rest of your adventure.
