This extremely difficult hiking route will take you on an out-and-back journey to Pizzo Ligoncio in the stunning mountainous area. The total distance of the trail is 26.68 kilometers with an elevation gain of 3252 meters, making it a challenging trek that will take around 14 hours to complete.
As you start your hike, you will come across various points of interest along the way. About 9.31 kilometers from the start, you will find a water source at the first feature point. At around 11.28 kilometers, there is Capanna Volta, a wilderness hut where you can take a break and enjoy the surrounding natural beauty. Continuing on, at 3.88 kilometers, you will reach Bivacco Silvio Saglio, a shelter for hikers to rest.
