This extremely difficult hiking route takes you through a stunning alpine area with a total distance of 18.612 kilometers and an elevation gain of 2048 meters. The duration of this hike is estimated to be around 9 hours and 25 minutes.

Starting at A19, the trail begins with a challenging ascent, offering beautiful views of the surrounding mountains. As you hike along the path, you will come across various points of interest. At 0.0 kilometers from the start, there is a parking area where you can leave your vehicle before embarking on the journey.

Continuing on, at 1.42 kilometers from the start, you will encounter a striking rock formation, adding to the picturesque scenery. Further along the trail, at 3.88 kilometers from the start, you will reach Rifugio Antonio Omio, an alpine hut where you can take a break and enjoy some refreshments.

As you trek onwards, at 6.7 kilometers from the start, you will find Cima del Calvo Est, a peak that offers panoramic views of the surrounding landscapes. Additionally, at 6.9 kilometers from the start, there is Passo del Calvo, a saddle point along the route.

Midway through the hike, at 8.37 kilometers from the start, you will come across Bocchetta di Spluga - Passo di Talamucca, another saddle point offering a great spot to rest and take in the surroundings.

Towards the end of the trail, at 9.31 kilometers from the start, you will find a water source at Sorgente Termale, perfect for refilling your water bottles. Additionally, at 9.31 kilometers, there is also a shelter called Bivacco Silvio Saglio where you can take a break and relax before heading back.
