This hiking route takes you through a beautiful area with a total distance of 2.075 kilometers and an elevation gain of 111 meters, making it an easy hike that can be completed in around 45 minutes. The trail is an out-and-back type, with the destination being the stunning Hubertusfelsen rock formation.
As you start the hike, you will come across some useful facilities such as benches and parking spots, which are available right at the beginning of the trail. You can also find informational spots like the Ratshaus and Alte Straße markers within the first few kilometers.
Further along the trail, you will encounter historic sites such as the Lourdes-Grotte shrine, the wayside crosses, and the shrine of hl. Konrad von Parzham, all located within the first kilometer of the hike.
About midway through the hike, approximately 1 kilometer in, you will reach the Gibbesbach information spot, followed by a viewpoint that offers a spectacular view of the surroundings and the Hubertusfelsen rock. Make sure to take a moment to enjoy the scenery.
Near the end of the trail, you will find the Hubertusfelsen rock itself, along with a bench and a wayside shrine displaying the rich history of the area. If you're feeling hungry after the hike, you can visit the s`Felix restaurant located close to the endpoint.
