Welcome to the hiking route to Pic d'Escobes! This extremely difficult 13.5 km out-and-back trail offers stunning views and a challenging adventure for experienced hikers.
The trail starts at a convenient parking area and quickly leads you to Refugi de Juclar, an alpine hut where you can rest and enjoy the surroundings. As you continue, you'll encounter Estany Primer de Juclar, a beautiful water feature that is perfect for a quick break.
Throughout the hike, you'll come across several other points of interest such as Cascada del Juclar, a picturesque waterfall, and Collada de Juclar, a scenic saddle point. Be sure to stop by the Font del Travenc spring to refill your water bottles along the way.
At the halfway point, you'll reach Pic de Noè, a peak that offers panoramic views of the surrounding area. As you trek further, you'll pass by Col de l'Albe and eventually reach the highlight of the hike, Pic d'Escobes. From here, you can enjoy breathtaking views before retracing your steps back to the starting point.
This route features 889 meters of elevation gain, so be sure to pack plenty of water and snacks for the journey. It's also important to check the weather forecast before setting out, as conditions can change rapidly in the mountains.
