This extremely difficult out-and-back hiking route will take you to the stunning Pic d'Escobes in Andorra. The trail spans a distance of 13.515 kilometers with an elevation gain of 889 meters, making it a challenging journey that will take approximately 5 hours and 21 minutes to complete.
Starting at the parking area, you will begin your hike towards the first point of interest, L'Ovella Negra, a restaurant located just 0.17 kilometers from the start. This could be a good spot to grab a bite to eat before embarking on your adventure. As you continue along the trail, you will come across various water features including Estany Primer de Juclar (3.77 kilometers from the start) and several other smaller bodies of water located along the way. Be sure to stay hydrated and take breaks as needed.
Around the 3.41-kilometer mark, you will reach Refugi de Juclar, an alpine hut where you can take a rest and enjoy the mountain views. This could be a good place to refuel and recharge before continuing your trek. As you make your way towards the peak, you will pass by Collada de Juclar (5.22 kilometers from the start) and Col de l'Albe (5.81 kilometers from the start), both offering breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape.
Midway through your hike, at approximately 6.76 kilometers from the start, you will reach Pic d'Escobes, the final destination of the trail. Take your time to savor the panoramic views from the peak before starting your descent back to the starting point.
