Located in the beautiful GR20 area, this hiking route offers a challenging yet rewarding experience for outdoor enthusiasts. The trail spans a distance of 9.47 kilometers with an elevation gain of 784 meters, making it a difficult trek that requires some physical fitness.
As you embark on this circular route, you will encounter several points of interest along the way. At the beginning of the trail, you will find a parking area where you can leave your vehicle before starting the hike. Further along, about 0.09 kilometers from the start, you'll come across Bergerie de Grotelle, a cozy bar where you can take a break and refuel.
Continuing on, at the 0.96 kilometer mark, you'll reach Bergerie de Melo, another bar offering refreshments for hikers. As you hike further, you will come across Petit lac de Rinoso and Grand lac de Rinoso, beautiful water bodies that provide a picturesque backdrop for your journey.
Midway through the trail, at around 4.46 kilometers from the start, you will reach Col de Rinoso, a scenic saddle point offering sweeping views of the surrounding landscape. Nearby, you'll also find a spring and a viewpoint where you can pause to take in the scenery.
Towards the end of the hike, approximately 1.1 kilometers from the start, you will encounter a stunning waterfall, adding to the natural beauty of the trail. Finally, as you make your way back to the starting point, be sure to check out the cafes along the trail for a well-deserved treat.
