This easy out-and-back hiking route in the Alte Rüttenen area offers a 4.235-kilometer trail with no elevation gain, making it suitable for hikers of all levels. Before embarking on the journey, remember to bring enough water and check the weather forecast.

Starting at the spacious Hirschmann Automotive parking lot, the trail takes you through a serene natural setting. Approximately 0.25 kilometers from the start, you will come across the tranquil Baggerloch Nägele, a picturesque water spot perfect for a quick break.

Continuing on the trail, you will pass by Baggerloch Wilhelm & Mayer around the 0.6-kilometer mark, offering another opportunity to enjoy the beauty of the area. As you reach the 1.85-kilometer point, you'll encounter Baggersee Klostergatter, adding to the scenic charm of the hike.

Around the midway point at 2.12 kilometers, you will find Alte Rüttenen, a lovely water feature surrounded by natural beauty. Further along the trail, at approximately 1.67 kilometers from the start, you'll come across another spot named Alte Rüttenen, providing a peaceful ambiance to rest and connect with nature.

To enhance your hiking experience, make use of the bench conveniently located at 0.09 kilometers from the start for a moment of relaxation. As you head back, you can stop by the beach area around the 2.12-kilometer mark for a refreshing break by the water.
