This extremely difficult hiking route will take you through some stunning alpine scenery in the Rifugio Paolo Prudenzini area.
The trail starts at a parking area, where you can leave your vehicle before embarking on this challenging 19.3-kilometer journey with an elevation gain of 1635 meters. Make sure to pack plenty of water and snacks as this hike will take around 8 and a half hours to complete.
Along the way, you'll encounter several points of interest. At the beginning of the trail, you'll pass by the Rifugio Città di Lissone alpine hut, a perfect spot to take a break and enjoy the mountain views. Further into the hike, you'll come across a natural water source for refilling your water bottles.
Midway through the hike, you'll reach the Rifugio Paolo Prudenzini, another alpine hut where you can rest and refuel before continuing on. This hut is a popular stopping point for hikers in the area.
As you trek further, you'll pass by the Rifugio Baita Adamè and a wilderness hut nestled in the scenic surroundings. Be sure to stop and take in the breathtaking views of the Cima Settentrionale di Frampola and Cima meridionale di Poia peaks, even though they are slightly off the trail.
Towards the end of the hike, you'll encounter the Passo di Poia saddle and a wayside cross, offering a sense of history and spirituality in the midst of nature.
