This hiking route takes you through the beautiful area surrounding Astelhorn, offering stunning views and a challenging trek. As you start your journey, you will come across Älggialp, a parking area located right at the beginning of the trail. Only a short distance away, you will find Berggasthaus Aelggialp, a restaurant where you can refuel and rest before continuing on your hike. As you proceed along the trail, you will reach Älggi, an information point, and further along, you will find more informational points to enhance your hiking experience.

Midway through the hike, you will encounter Wandelen, a peak that offers breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. Continuing onwards, you will reach Astelhorn, another peak that provides a rewarding sense of accomplishment as you take in the magnificent scenery.

Along the trail, you will also find several drinking water stations to keep you hydrated and a bench at 3.71 kilometers into the hike where you can take a break and enjoy the peaceful surroundings.
