This extremely difficult hiking route will take you on an out-and-back journey to Rauheck, spanning a distance of 19.3 kilometers with an elevation gain of 1411 meters.

The trail begins at a parking area and leads you through breathtaking natural landscapes. Along the way, you will encounter several points of interest.

At the beginning of your hike, you will come across Alpe Dietersbach, a charming biergarten where you can take a break and enjoy a refreshing drink. Further along the trail, at around 3.3 kilometers from the start, you will find Berggasthof Gerstruben, a cozy restaurant where you can indulge in a hearty meal.

As you continue your journey, you will also pass by Gerstruber Alpe, offering another opportunity to rest and recharge. Midway through the hike, you will reach Älpelesattel, a picturesque saddle providing stunning views of the surroundings.

At around 9.7 kilometers from the start, you will reach the peak of Rauheck, offering a rewarding panoramic view of the area.

Throughout the hike, you will also encounter various benches and informational points where you can learn more about the history and natural features of the region.

Given the length and elevation gain of this hike, it is advisable to be well-prepared with proper hiking gear, sufficient water, and snacks. Additionally, checking the weather forecast before embarking on this challenging adventure is highly recommended.
