This extremely difficult hiking route will take you on a 19.494-kilometer journey with an elevation gain of 2602 meters in the stunning area near Mater de Paia. Be sure to pack plenty of water and snacks, as this challenging hike will take approximately 11 hours to complete.

Starting from the parking area at the trailhead, you will first come across the Lago artificiale di Roggiasca, a beautiful artificial lake just 0.21 kilometers from the beginning of the trail. As you continue on, you'll pass by Rifugio Cortin, an alpine hut and shelter located 2.54 kilometers from the start, offering a potential resting spot along the way.

Midway through the hike at 7.61 kilometers from the start, you will reach Passo di Ciancabella, a scenic saddle point with breathtaking views. Further along the trail, at 9.75 kilometers, you'll encounter Mater de Paia, a prominent peak that serves as the turnaround point for this out-and-back route.

Throughout the hike, you'll also come across several points of interest such as Bivacco Zeb, a wilderness hut located 8.22 kilometers from the start, and various informational points and drinking water sources to keep you informed and hydrated.
