Welcome to the Malecón hiking route description!
The Malecón is a famous promenade in Havana, Cuba, known for its stunning views of the ocean and historic architecture. This route is super easy, with a distance of 0.819 kilometers and no elevation gain. It is an out-and-back trail, so you will retrace your steps on the way back.
As you start your hike, you will pass by various points of interest. At the beginning of the trail, you will find Madraka's, a restaurant where you can grab a bite to eat before or after your hike. Further along the trail, you will come across La Zorra y El Cuervo, a bar known for its vibrant nightlife.
On your way back, make sure to stop by the Monumento a las víctimas del Maine, a historic monument located 0.21 kilometers from the trail. This monument commemorates the victims of the USS Maine explosion in Havana Harbor in 1898.
