This challenging hiking route will take you on an out-and-back journey to Paradise Divide, covering a distance of 10.432 kilometers with an elevation gain of 281 meters. The hike is estimated to take around 3 hours and 7 minutes to complete.

Starting at the parking area, you will begin your trek towards Paradise Divide. Along the way, you will encounter several points of interest. At the beginning of the hike, you will pass by Elko Lake, located 1.46 kilometers from the starting point. As you continue, you will come across various water features such as unnamed water bodies and Emerald Lake, which is situated 0.22 kilometers from the trail.

For those looking to spend the night in the wilderness, there are camp sites available at GC 15 and GC 14, located 0.57 and 0.48 kilometers from the start, respectively. Additionally, there are viewpoints at Schofield Pass (1.03 kilometers from the start) and Paradise Divide (5.22 kilometers from the start), offering stunning perspectives of the surrounding landscape.

As you make your way back, you can take a break at the picnic site near Emerald Lake, just 0.1 kilometers from the trail. The route also passes through saddle points at Paradise Divide and Schofield Pass, adding an interesting element to the hike.
