This extremely difficult hiking route will take you to the stunning Alpe di Zota area. The trail covers a distance of 14.18 kilometers with an elevation gain of 1310 meters, so be prepared for a challenging adventure.
As you embark on this out-and-back route, you will come across several points of interest along the way. At the beginning of the trail, you will find a parking area where you can leave your vehicle before starting your hike. Just 0.1 kilometers from the start, there is a lovely picnic site where you can take a break and enjoy the surroundings.
Around 4.89 kilometers from the start, you will reach Capanna Basodino CAS, an alpine hut where you can potentially take a rest or even spend the night if needed. Further along the trail, at 5.72 kilometers from the start, there is an information point called Lielp, where you can gather more information about the area.
For those in need of water, there are two points closer to the start at 7.09 kilometers, making it convenient to refill your water bottles. Additionally, it is always advisable to carry enough water and snacks for the entire hike, especially on such a challenging trail.
