This challenging hiking route takes you through the beautiful area of Valea Morarului. With a total distance of 7.089 kilometers and an elevation gain of 539 meters, this hike will provide you with a good workout and stunning views along the way.

Starting off at a parking area just 0.02 kilometers from the trailhead, you will soon come across Cantonul Colții Morarului, a shelter located 2.38 kilometers into the hike. This is a great spot to take a break and enjoy some snacks while taking in the surrounding nature. Just a bit further, at 2.39 kilometers into the hike, you will find the refreshing spring known as izvor Morar.

As you continue on the trail, you will pass by another parking area at the beginning of the hike, making it convenient for those arriving by car. Around the 3.54 kilometer mark, you will reach a viewpoint that offers panoramic views of the area, perfect for snapping some memorable photos.

At the very start of the trail, you will also come across the Memorial Petre Petrescu, a historic memorial located just 0.02 kilometers in. This serves as a reminder of the rich history of the area.

This out-and-back route will take you approximately 2 hours and 59 minutes to complete. Make sure to bring plenty of water, as the trail can be strenuous. Additionally, check the weather forecast before heading out to ensure a safe and enjoyable hike.
