Welcome to the hiking route "Waldweg - Mattsee" located in a beautiful area with stunning views near Mattsee. This out-and-back trail offers a total distance of 10 kilometers with an elevation gain of 57 meters, making it a relatively easy and enjoyable hike for all skill levels.

As you begin your journey, you will come across the Hofbauer-Kapelle wayside shrine, a historic site located right at the start of the trail. Further along the path, you will pass by Buchbergwirt, a quaint restaurant where you can refuel and enjoy some local cuisine.

After a leisurely hike, you will reach the peak of Buchberg, a natural peak offering panoramic views of the surrounding area. Make sure to stop by Alpenblick Buchbergwirt, another restaurant with great views, before continuing your adventure.

As you hike back towards the starting point, take a moment to admire the viewpoint "Blick zum Nordrand der Alpen" and the information point "Panoramatafel" where you can learn more about the region.

Throughout the trail, you will also find benches and information points to rest and gather more insights about the area. Remember to bring plenty of water, wear appropriate footwear, and check the weather forecast before embarking on this picturesque hike.
