The Kemera path is an extremely difficult hiking route covering a distance of 17.275 kilometers with an elevation gain of 565 meters. The duration of the hike is estimated to be around 5 hours and 24 minutes, so make sure to start early to have enough daylight.
The trail starts at a parking area, just a short distance away from a bar where you can grab any last-minute supplies. As you begin your journey, you'll come across several points of interest. Around 2.29 kilometers from the start, you'll encounter a picnic site named "Lъkata (Lakata)" where you can take a break and enjoy the surrounding nature.
Further along the trail, at approximately 8.64 kilometers from the start, you'll reach the famous Кемеров мост (Kemera Bridge), a notable attraction in the area. Additionally, there are several water points along the route at distances of 8.41, 8.53, and 8.64 kilometers from the start for refilling your water bottles.
A bit over 1 kilometer from the start, there is a BBQ spot if you're planning a mid-hike meal. Just before the halfway mark, at 1.56 kilometers from the start, you'll find a viewpoint offering stunning vistas of the surroundings.
As you continue on the trail, approximately 2.24 kilometers from the start, you'll find Мечи водопад (Meci waterfall) though it's a short detour. There is also a shelter available at 2.34 kilometers from the start, providing a good resting spot.
Throughout the hike, there are drinking water points at various distances, ensuring you stay hydrated. Remember to check the weather forecast before heading out and make sure to bring enough water and snacks for the trek. This challenging route offers a blend of nature, attractions, and facilities for a memorable hiking experience.
