Located in a beautiful region with lush landscapes, the trail starts at the Ifen parking area. As you begin your journey, you'll pass by Berggasthof Auenhütte, a restaurant where you can grab a bite to eat before you head out on the trail.

Around 3.8 km into the hike, you'll come across an information point that provides valuable insights about the area. Further along the trail, at 4.6 km, you'll reach another information point that offers more details about the surroundings.

The highlight of the hike is reaching the peak of Hoher Ifen at 4.8 km. The panoramic views from the top are truly breathtaking and worth the effort.

On the way back, you can stop by Ifen Hütte, another restaurant where you can refuel and relax after your hike.

Throughout the trail, you'll find benches scattered at various points, offering you a chance to take a break and enjoy the scenery. Additionally, there are informative signs along the way that enhance your hiking experience.

As this is a difficult trail with an elevation gain of 932 meters, it's important to be well-prepared. Make sure to bring plenty of water, snacks, and wear sturdy hiking shoes. Checking the weather forecast before you head out is also recommended.
