This hiking route takes you through the beautiful area surrounding Ermita Refugio de Nuestra Señora de las Nieves - Pontón del Campanario. The 7.969-kilometer circular trail has an elevation gain of 500 meters, making it a difficult hike that offers a rewarding challenge for experienced hikers.
As you start your journey, you will come across a picnic site just 18 meters from the trail, perfect for a quick break or enjoying some snacks. About 1.48 kilometers into the hike, you will find a natural water source, located 191 meters off the trail. It is essential to refill your water supply here as there are no other water sources along the route.
Further along the trail, approximately 3.73 kilometers from the start, you will encounter two spring locations. These natural springs provide a refreshing opportunity to rest and hydrate before continuing your ascent. Additionally, at 1.19 kilometers from the start, you will find Fuente de la Umbría spring, offering another chance to refill your water bottle.
As you continue your hike, you will pass by two peaks, with the first peak located 2.62 kilometers from the start and the second peak situated 3.73 kilometers into the trail. Both peaks offer stunning panoramic views of the surrounding landscape, rewarding you for your efforts.
Lastly, at 2.49 kilometers from the start, you will reach a saddle point, providing a picturesque spot to take in the scenery and rest before completing the loop back to Ermita Refugio de Nuestra Señora de las Nieves.
