This challenging out-and-back hiking route will take you to the breathtaking Alto de las Malezas area. The trail spans a total distance of 11.59 kilometers with an elevation gain of 758 meters, making it a difficult trek that will take approximately 4 hours and 34 minutes to complete.
As you embark on this adventure, you will come across several points of interest along the way. Within the first 1.48 kilometers, you will encounter a water feature, perfect for refilling your bottles and taking a short break.
Around the 3.75-kilometer mark, you will find multiple springs where you can rest and admire the natural beauty of the surroundings. Additionally, Fuente de la Umbría, a spring located 1.19 kilometers from the start, offers a tranquil spot to relax and enjoy the peaceful ambiance.
Further along the trail, at the 2.62-kilometer point, you will find a peak (unnamed) that provides stunning panoramic views of the area. For a refreshing stop, Collado Rodrigo, a saddle located at the 5.55-kilometer mark, offers a great spot to catch your breath and take in the scenic vistas.
At the 4.24-kilometer mark, there is another spring where you can rehydrate and recharge before continuing your journey. Additionally, 2.49 kilometers from the start, you will encounter another saddle (unnamed) that adds a unique touch to your hiking experience.
