This hiking route is set in a beautiful area with stunning views and challenging terrain. The trail is a circular route that covers a distance of approximately 12.2 kilometers and has an elevation gain of 652 meters, making it extremely difficult.
You will start your hike at the parking area near Venta Sancho, where you can find wheelchair-accessible facilities. As you make your way along the trail, you will pass by the Maison du Parc National des Pyrénées, a tourist information center, and the Col du Pourtalet, a scenic saddle.
Midway through the hike, you will reach the Pic de Canaourouye, a peak offering breathtaking panoramic views. Continuing on, you will come across the Stèle frontière, a historic memorial, and the boundary stone named "310".
Towards the end of the hike, you will reach the Punta Malacara peak, where you can take in the stunning vistas all around you. Nearby, there is the artwork "El otro lado / L'autre côté" celebrating the cultural diversity of the region.
