Located in the stunning Pyrénées National Park, this extremely difficult 12.2 km circular hiking route will take you on a challenging adventure through breathtaking natural landscapes and significant landmarks.

At the beginning of the trail, you will find convenient parking areas such as Espalet Parking and Venta Sancho. Just 0.1 km from the start, you will come across Col du Pourtalet, a picturesque saddle offering panoramic views of the surrounding area. Maison du Parc National des Pyrénées, an informative center, is also nearby.

As you progress on the trail, about 4.6 km from the start, you will reach the majestic peak of Pic de Canaourouye. Take in the mesmerizing views from the summit before continuing your journey. Along the way back, you will encounter a historic memorial at Stèle frontière and a boundary stone named 310.

Towards the end of the hike, just 5.7 km from the start, you will reach the impressive peak of Punta Malacara. Make sure to visit the artwork "El otro lado / L'autre côté" located nearby, offering a unique cultural experience. Before concluding your hike, refuel at the restaurant Le Sorbier, situated 0.1 km from the trail.

With an elevation gain of 652 meters, this hike is best suited for experienced hikers. Make sure to bring plenty of water, snacks, and proper hiking gear.
