This extremely difficult 12.195 km circular hiking route will take you through stunning landscapes in the Pyrenees region. The hike starts at the parking area near Venta Sancho and Maison du Parc National des Pyrénées. As you make your way along the trail, you will pass by the Col du Pourtalet saddle, offering spectacular views.
Midway through the hike, you will reach the Pic de Canaourouye peak, where you can take a break and admire the panoramic vistas. Further along the trail, you will come across the Stèle frontière memorial and boundary stone 310, adding a historical touch to your journey.
Towards the end of the hike, you will reach the Punta Malacara peak, the highest point of the trail, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding area. Finally, you can relax and refuel at the Le Sorbier restaurant before heading back to the starting point.
With an elevation gain of 652.0 meters, this hike is challenging and suitable for experienced hikers. Make sure to bring plenty of water, as well as snacks and a fully charged phone.
