This challenging 9.283-kilometer circular hiking route will take you through the scenic area of Choqué di Margrit. The hike has an elevation gain of 570 meters and is expected to take around 3 hours and 34 minutes to complete.
As you start your journey, you will pass by a parking area at the beginning of the trail. Around 1.48 kilometers into the hike, you will come across a spring followed by a drinking water source. The Via ferrata Orrido di Chianocco is located 1.05 kilometers from the start but is not directly on the trail.
Further along the trail, at 2.64 kilometers, you will find another drinking water source. As you approach the 3.19-kilometer mark, there is another drinking water source nearby. A wayside shrine and a bench can also be found at 1.48 kilometers into the hike.
At around 4.38 kilometers, you will reach the peak of Choqué di Margrit, offering breathtaking views of the surroundings. Nearby, you can find a viewpoint at 1.77 kilometers and another at 1.02 kilometers.
Historical monuments such as Chiesa Vecchia, Casaforte, and Castello di Chianocco are located along the trail, adding cultural significance to your hike.
Throughout the trail, there are several information points and additional drinking water sources to keep you informed and hydrated.
