Located near Garden Cottage and the A594, this super easy hiking route offers a leisurely stroll with no elevation gain over a distance of approximately 1.5 kilometers.

As you start your hike, you'll come across HF Holidays Derwent Bank, where you can park your vehicle if needed. Further along the trail, about 0.73 kilometers in, you'll find The Chalet Tearooms and Restaurant, a perfect spot to grab a bite to eat or a cup of coffee.

Around the midway point of the trail, at approximately 0.58 kilometers, you'll encounter a water body, providing a tranquil setting to rest and enjoy the surroundings. For those driving to the trailhead, there are parking options available at Derwentwater Hotel, both at the beginning of the trail and midway through.

Throughout the hike, you'll also come across benches where you can take a break and enjoy the scenery. Information points are also available along the trail for those interested in learning more about the area.
