This hiking route will take you to Dalehead Tarn, a serene mountain lake located in a beautiful natural area. The trail is an out-and-back route with a total distance of 4.536 kilometers and an elevation gain of 302 meters, making it of moderate difficulty.

As you start your hike, you will pass by Honister Slate Mine, a historic attraction that offers guided tours and showcases the region's mining history. Further along the trail, you will encounter Honister Pass, a scenic saddle that provides breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape.

Along the way, there are several points of interest to explore, including Sky Hi Cafe where you can take a break and enjoy some refreshments. You will also come across various artworks such as "Loss", which adds a cultural touch to the hike.

At around 2.27 kilometers into the hike, you will reach Dalehead Tarn, a peaceful body of water nestled amidst the mountains. Here, you can take in the tranquil surroundings and maybe even enjoy a picnic by the lake.
