This extremely difficult 13.363-kilometer out-and-back hiking route will take you through the breathtaking area of Rifugio Visitone.

Starting at the trailhead, you will pass by the Rotonda Gole di Jannace parking area at the beginning of your journey. As you make your way along the trail, you will encounter the Statua Maria Santissima del Pollino at 1.45 kilometers from the start. Further on, you will find the Fontana spring and La Baita cafe at 6.62 kilometers into the hike, perfect for a quick rest and refreshment.

Continuing onwards, you will reach the Rifugio Pino Loricato alpine hut at 1.95 kilometers from the start, providing a picturesque spot to take in the stunning surroundings. At 3.92 kilometers, you will come across Acquafredda spring, offering a natural and refreshing water source along the route.

The trail will lead you to the Belvedere statua di Madonna di Pollino viewpoint at 1.44 kilometers from the start, rewarding you with panoramic views of the area. Be sure to stop by the Fontana Visitone spring at 6.51 kilometers for another opportunity to rehydrate before making your way back.
