Welcome to the hiking route to Rifugio Visitone in the beautiful area of Pollino National Park. This route is an out-and-back type, totaling 13.363 kilometers with an elevation gain of 823 meters, making it an extremely difficult challenge.

Starting off, you will pass by the Rotonda Gole di Jannace parking area at the beginning of the trail. As you progress, about 1.45 kilometers into the hike, you will reach the Statua Maria Santissima del Pollino, which offers a stunning view and is perfect for a short break.

Moving forward, at around 3.92 kilometers in, you will come across the refreshing Acquafredda spring, providing a much-needed water source along the way. Further along, at 6.51 kilometers, you will find the Fontana Visitone, another opportunity to refill your water supply.

As you continue your journey, you will reach Rifugio Pino Loricato, a cozy alpine hut located approximately 1.95 kilometers from the start and a perfect spot for a rest or even an overnight stay if needed.

Despite the challenging terrain and distance, this hike offers breathtaking views and memorable experiences.
