This extremely difficult hiking route will take you on a challenging adventure through the stunning mountainous area leading to Pequeño Bachimala. The trail stretches for approximately 16.973 kilometers with a total elevation gain of 1874 meters, so be prepared for a strenuous journey that will last around 8 hours and 36 minutes.
Starting at the parking area at the trailhead, you will begin your ascent towards the first point of interest at Port de la Pez, located 5.81 kilometers from the start. This saddle offers breathtaking views and a perfect spot to catch your breath before continuing on.
As you trek further along the trail, at around 2.27 kilometers from the start, you will come across Cabane de La Pez, providing a sheltered resting place for hikers. Continuing on, at 1.99 kilometers from the start, Cabane Jean-Forgues also offers a refuge for tired hikers.
