Located in a scenic coastal area, the Sentier Côtier hiking route offers a super easy trek with a distance of 0.763 kilometers and no elevation gain. The trail starts at a convenient parking area and passes by various points of interest that provide insight into the local flora, fauna, and mining history.
At the beginning of the trail, you will find an information point about the arboreal flora, followed by a discovery point for shrubby vegetation. As you continue, you will encounter natural coastal cliffs and the northern gallery of the mine. Along the way, you can explore a bat cave, a freshwater basin, and learn about the transport of ore.
Midway through the hike, you will come across the Jean-François Jubé Discovery Trail and a historical site showcasing copper mines and scree. Towards the end of the trail, you'll reach a viewpoint overlooking flower terraces and learn about vegetation recovery after wildfires.
