This hiking route will take you to the stunning Cima di Cornice in a beautiful area surrounded by natural wonders. The hike is 8.375 kilometers long with an elevation gain of 1128 meters, making it a difficult and challenging trail that will take approximately 4 hours and 45 minutes to complete.
As you start your hike, you will come across a parking area where you can leave your vehicle before beginning your trek. About halfway through the trail, you will find the picturesque wayside shrine known as Polèer dól Gipi, offering a serene and spiritual atmosphere. Along the way, you will also pass by several drinking water sources to keep you hydrated during your journey.
One of the highlights of the hike is the Cime di Sasso Alto peak, located 3.5 kilometers from the start of the trail. Although not directly on the trail, this peak offers breathtaking views that are worth the extra distance. Closer to the end of the trail, at 4.19 kilometers from the start, you will reach the majestic Cima di Cornice peak, the main destination of this hike.
Throughout the hike, you will also encounter various points of interest such as the wayside shrines Val Fraina, Pózz da Scigascèer, and Bót dól Bišàche, adding cultural and historical significance to your adventure.
