This challenging hiking route in the Massa del Turlo area covers a distance of approximately 10.7 kilometers with an elevation gain of 1168 meters, taking around 5 hours and 23 minutes to complete.

The trail starts at a parking area and winds through picturesque landscapes towards the first point of interest, the Monumento ai Caduti, a historic memorial located just 0.05 kilometers from the start. Further along the route, at 0.05 kilometers as well, hikers will find a drinking water point for refilling bottles.

As you continue along the trail, you will reach the Monte La Mazza peak at 4.24 kilometers, offering stunning panoramic views of the surrounding area. The Colle del Campo saddle is located at 3.18 kilometers from the start, providing a great spot for a rest and to take in the scenery.

At 5.33 kilometers, you will encounter the Massa del Turlo peak, a fantastic vantage point to admire the natural beauty of the region. Nearby, there is a picnic site for hikers to enjoy a break and refuel their energy.

Additionally, there is a wayside shrine at 0.14 kilometers and another drinking water point at the same distance for your convenience during the hike. A viewpoint, Cascata di Sambughetto, located 0.03 kilometers from the start, offers a breathtaking sight worth exploring.
