Welcome to the hiking route to Monte Castellaccio! This picturesque area offers a 2.5-kilometer trail with an elevation gain of 100 meters, making it an easy hike suitable for all skill levels.

Starting at the parking area, you will embark on an out-and-back journey that leads you through beautiful scenery. Along the trail, you will come across various points of interest. At the beginning of the hike, you will find a picnic site and a viewpoint called "Belvedere" offering stunning panoramic views of the area.

As you continue on the trail, about 0.23 kilometers from the start, you will encounter the "Cuore Immacolato di Maria" wayside shrine, adding a touch of historic charm to your hike. Further along, at 0.44 kilometers from the start, you will find two more wayside shrines marked as "I" and "II". These serene spots provide a peaceful atmosphere for reflection and admiration of the surroundings.

Midway through the hike, at approximately 1.25 kilometers from the start, you will reach the peak of Monte Castellaccio. Take a moment to enjoy the breathtaking views before retracing your steps back to the starting point.
