This hiking route takes you through the beautiful area of Saleres de l'Estanyò, offering stunning views and challenging terrain. With a total distance of 9.101 kilometers and an elevation gain of 861 meters, this hike is classified as difficult and requires a good level of physical fitness.
As you start your journey, you will come across the Refugi Borda de Sorteny, an alpine hut located 0.48 kilometers from the beginning of the trail. This is a great spot to rest and take in the surroundings before continuing your trek. Further along the trail, at 0.13 kilometers in, you will find an information point where you can learn more about the area and its history.
About midway into the hike, at 3.3 kilometers from the start, you will reach the Collada de Ferreroles, a picturesque saddle offering panoramic views of the surrounding landscapes. This is a perfect place to take a break and enjoy a snack while admiring the scenery.
As you continue on, reaching 4.55 kilometers from the start, you will come across a peak known as Portell de Sorteny. This is a challenging but rewarding section of the hike, offering breathtaking views from the top.
Towards the end of the trail, at 0.01 kilometers from the start, you will find an information point providing valuable insights into the local flora, fauna, and geology. Finally, as you make your way back, you can stop at the Refugi de Sorteny, a cozy restaurant located 0.48 kilometers from the start, where you can refuel and relax after your adventure.
