This hiking route will take you through a challenging yet rewarding journey in the Am Bärenbad area. The route is an out-and-back type, totaling approximately 12 kilometers with an elevation gain of 643 meters, making it extremely difficult.

As you start your hike, you will come across the Gasthof Alte Wacht restaurant, just 0.01 kilometers from the beginning. It could be a good spot to grab a bite before embarking on your adventure. Further along the trail, at around 4.8 kilometers from the start, you will find a water source, followed by another water point at 4.29 kilometers and a parking area at the beginning of the trail.

Additionally, there are more water sources along the way, with one at 0.11 kilometers from the start, one at 6 kilometers, and another not on the trail at 0.07 kilometers from the start.

Given the length and elevation gain of the route, it is essential to bring an adequate water supply and check the weather forecast before starting the hike.
