Welcome to the Nabelsteig hiking route, a challenging trek that offers stunning views and interesting points of interest along the way.

The Nabelsteig area is known for its rocky terrain and dense forests, providing a beautiful backdrop for this outdoor adventure.

As you start your hike, you will come across a couple of parking areas, one closer to the trail than the other. You'll pass by the Schnellerwag-Halbhöhlen caves, known for their unique rock formations, at around 0.6 kilometers into the hike.

Along the trail, you will find benches where you can take a rest and enjoy the surroundings. One of these benches is located at 0.39 kilometers from the starting point, offering a nice spot to relax and take in the scenery.

At 1.5 kilometers into the hike, you'll come across the Schneerosenloch cave entrance, adding a touch of mystery to your journey.

As you continue on, you'll reach the Fuchspassquelle spring at 0.77 kilometers into the hike, providing a refreshing spot to refill your water bottle.

Further along the trail, at 2.87 kilometers into the hike, you'll encounter a peak, offering panoramic views of the surrounding landscape.

The route is an out-and-back trail, so you will retrace your steps on the way back to the starting point.

With a distance of 5.732 kilometers and an elevation gain of 737 meters, this hike is rated as difficult and is best suited for experienced hikers. Be sure to bring plenty of water, wear sturdy hiking shoes, and check the weather forecast before embarking on this adventure.
