This hiking route takes you through a beautiful area with stunning views and challenging terrain. The trail is an out-and-back type, leading to the Refuge de Prunicu as the final destination.
Starting from the parking area at the trailhead, you will begin your journey. Along the way, you will come across the Amama restaurant where you can refuel and enjoy a meal. There are also drinking water stations available for hikers to stay hydrated.
As you continue on the trail, you will pass by the ruins of a historic site, adding an element of intrigue to your hike. Further along, at about 3.63 kilometers from the start, you will reach the Refuge de Prunicu, an alpine hut where you can take a rest and enjoy the mountainous atmosphere.
On the way back, you can stop by Jul's Café-Restaurant Pizzeria for a snack before reaching the trailhead again. Along the trail, there are information points providing insights into the local area and natural features.
It is important to note that the trail is difficult, with a total distance of 7.263 kilometers and an elevation gain of 531 meters.
