This extremely difficult 15.125 km out-and-back hiking route will take you to the stunning X Pizzo Brunone area. The trail offers a challenging elevation gain of 1717.0 meters, so be prepared for a strenuous workout.

Starting at the trailhead, you will pass by various points of interest along the way. At the beginning of the hike, you will find parking facilities to leave your vehicle. As you progress further, about 6.83 km into the hike, you will reach the Rifugio Antonio Baroni al Brunone, an alpine hut where you can take a rest and enjoy some refreshments.

Midway through the trail, around 7.56 km, you will come across Lago della Scaletta, a beautiful lake that offers a peaceful spot to relax and take in the surroundings. Continuing on, you will encounter Passo Scaletta, a scenic saddle point with breathtaking views.

Make sure to bring an ample water supply as there are drinking water points along the trail, located at around 6.83 km and 0.02 km from the start. Additionally, it's always a good idea to check the weather forecast before embarking on this challenging hike.
