This extremely difficult 11.9-kilometer circular hiking route to Karkopf offers a challenging yet rewarding experience for avid hikers. The trail begins at Straßberg Parkplatz, where you can park your vehicle for free. As you start your journey, you'll encounter Straßberghaus, a restaurant and alpine hut located at 0.85 kilometers from the trailhead. This is a great spot to grab a meal or a drink before continuing your adventure.

Further along the trail, at 2.69 kilometers from the start, you'll reach Alplhaus, a wilderness hut where you can take a break and enjoy the tranquil surroundings. At 2.8 kilometers from the start, Neue Alplhütte awaits with its restaurant amenities, perfect for a pit stop.
