This extremely difficult hiking route to Mount Whyte starts at Lake Louise parking area. The 14.773-kilometer trail features an elevation gain of 1269 meters and is expected to take approximately 6 hours and 35 minutes to complete.
You will begin your journey from Lake Louise parking, where you can park your vehicle before embarking on this challenging adventure. As you make your way along the trail, you will pass by Lake Agnes Tea House, situated 3.67 kilometers from the starting point, offering a nice spot to rest and enjoy some refreshments.
Continuing on, you will come across Lake Agnes, which is around 4.02 kilometers from the start of the trail, providing a picturesque view of the crystal-clear waters. The trail also features Mirror Lake at around 3.07 kilometers from the starting point, offering another beautiful natural landmark to admire.
Along the route, you will find various amenities such as Chateau Deli, Lakeview Lounge, and Fairview Dining Room, where you can grab a meal or snack. Moreover, you will encounter several viewpoints, including Big Beehive, Mount Niblock, and The Big Beehive, offering stunning panoramic views along the way.
As you trek further, you will reach Shelter Rempart at 3.58 kilometers from the start, providing a sheltered spot to rest if needed. Additionally, you will pass by a waterfall at around 3.66 kilometers from the starting point, adding to the scenic beauty of the hike.
