This challenging hiking route to Steinkarspitze covers a distance of 11.913 kilometers with an elevation gain of 903 meters, and it's estimated to take around 5 hours to complete. The trail begins in a picturesque area surrounded by stunning alpine scenery.

As you start the hike, you'll come across the Kolmhaus alpine hut, located right on the trail, offering a perfect spot to take a break and refuel. About 3.28 kilometers into the hike, you'll encounter a water source, providing a refreshing opportunity to restock your supplies.

Around 2.36 kilometers from the start, there's a saddle point offering panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. Further along the trail, at the 5.02-kilometer mark, you'll reach another saddle called Heimjoch.

As you continue towards Steinkarspitze, you'll find an information point equipped with interesting details about the area. At approximately 5.96 kilometers into the hike, there's the peak of Steinkarspitze, where you can enjoy breathtaking views from the summit.

It's important to note that the Freikopf peak, located off the main trail at 5.3 kilometers, is also a notable point of interest for more experienced hikers looking to explore further.
