Welcome to the Zillertaler Höhenstraße hiking route! This route offers a moderate level of difficulty with a total distance of 3.105 kilometers and an elevation gain of 269 meters. The estimated duration for this hike is around 1 hour and 23 minutes.

The hike begins at the parking area, which is conveniently located at the start of the trail. As you start your journey, you will pass by the Melchboden restaurant, situated just 34 meters away from the trail. This makes for a great spot to grab a meal or snack before or after your hike.

Further along the trail, at around 1.5 kilometers from the start, you will come across a series of water sources, including two water points directly on the trail. It is always a good idea to refill your water bottle here to stay hydrated throughout the hike.

Around the midway point of the hike, at 1.19 kilometers from the start, you will reach the Rauhenkopf peak. This is a great opportunity to take in panoramic views of the surrounding area and snap some photos.

Continuing on, at 0.01 kilometers from the start, there is a viewpoint and a free-flying site for those interested in paragliding or enjoying the scenery from above.

As you approach the end of the trail, at 0.53 kilometers from the start, you will reach the Arbiskopf peak. This is another excellent vantage point to admire the beauty of the Zillertal Alps.

Throughout the hike, be sure to check the weather forecast and bring an adequate supply of water and snacks. The trail is well-marked and maintained, making it suitable for hikers of various skill levels.
