This extremely difficult hiking route will take you on an out-and-back journey to the majestic Bietenhorn peak. The 19.845-kilometer trail offers an elevation gain of 2210 meters, making it challenging but rewarding for experienced hikers.
Starting at the Auto-Parkplatz Stechelberg, you will pass by the picturesque Sefinenfall waterfall and Hotel Restaurant Stechelberg. Along the trail, you will find several amenities such as picnic sites, drinking water sources, and informative signposts about the local flora and fauna.
As you ascend, you'll reach the beautiful Rütti campsite and the Landeplatz Stechelberg, a site for free flying enthusiasts. The trail also features several cozy shelters and benches for resting and enjoying the stunning views.
Midway through the hike, you can stop at the Stägerstübli restaurant for a meal before continuing towards the Bietenhorn peak. The trail is dotted with water sources and facilities to ensure you stay hydrated and energized throughout the hike.
