This challenging hiking route to Pointe de Merdassier offers stunning views and diverse points of interest along the way. Starting from the parking area at the trailhead, you'll begin your ascent towards Pointe de Merdassier.

About 2.95 kilometers into the hike, you'll come across the Pointe de Merdassier peak, where you can take in panoramic views of the surrounding area. Continuing on the trail, you'll pass by Col de Merdassier, a picturesque saddle point, located just 0.01 kilometers from the trail.

Along the way, you'll also encounter an information point about the area, as well as a wayside shrine that adds a touch of historic charm to the hike. Be sure to stop and read the informative signs to learn about the local flora, fauna, and history of the region.

Although La ferme de l'étale farm is located just a short distance away from the trail, it may be worth a visit on the way back to explore and perhaps pick up some locally produced goods.
