Welcome to the hiking route to La Colle!
This moderate 6.7-kilometer out-and-back trail offers a mix of nature and history in a beautiful area. The route has an elevation gain of 437 meters, so be prepared for some uphill sections.
You will start your journey at the parking area near the trailhead. As you begin hiking, you will pass by several parking spots, with some located right by the trail. Around the 3.35-kilometer mark, you will come across the archaeological site of Le Paracou, adding a historical touch to your hike.
As you continue on, you will reach a viewpoint at the 3.35-kilometer point, where you can take in stunning panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. Around the 1.17-kilometer mark, you will find another viewpoint, offering different perspectives of the area.
At 1.36 kilometers into the trail, you will encounter a cave entrance, adding a sense of adventure to your hike. Further along the trail, at the 1.52-kilometer mark, you will spot a wayside cross, a reminder of the area's cultural heritage.
Halfway through the trail, at 2.79 kilometers, you will find the shelter named Borie - 31, a perfect spot to rest and refuel before continuing your journey. Additionally, at the 3.11-kilometer mark, you will come across Borie - 36, another shelter providing a peaceful retreat.
Your final destination, La Colle peak, awaits you at the end of the trail. Enjoy the breathtaking views from the summit before retracing your steps back to the starting point.
