This challenging 11.936-kilometer circular hike will take you through the stunning Haidwand area, offering breathtaking views and a variety of interesting points of interest to explore along the way.
Starting from the parking area at Unteres Sudelfeld, you will begin your journey through the rugged terrain. Be sure to check the forecast before heading out and bring plenty of water, as this 5-hour and 13-minute hike features an elevation gain of 983 meters, making it quite difficult.
As you trek along the trail, you will encounter several notable features. About 3.5 kilometers from the start, you will come across Zeller Scharte, a natural saddle located right on the trail. Further along at 3.78 kilometers, the Reindler Scharte saddle offers a picturesque spot to take in the surrounding landscape.
At around 3.84 kilometers, you will find the Schacht unterhalb der Reindler Scharte cave entrance. The trail also passes by the Oberes and Unteres Wetterloch cave entrances at 3.88 and 4.2 kilometers, respectively.
