This challenging hiking route will take you to the Breitenstein Westgipfel in the beautiful area surrounding Birkenstein. The trail covers a total distance of 6.182 kilometers with an elevation gain of 678 meters, making it a difficult but rewarding trek that will take approximately 3 hours and 7 minutes to complete.

As you start your journey, you will pass by the Birkenstein parking area, which is located just 0.06 kilometers from the trailhead. About 2.69 kilometers into the hike, you will come across a picturesque water feature. Further along the trail at 1.74 kilometers, you will encounter the Breitensteinfensterl climbing spot, offering beautiful views of the surroundings.

Midway through the hike, at 2.81 kilometers, you will reach the Breitenstein Westgipfel peak, providing stunning panoramic views of the area. Along the way, you will find various amenities such as the Oberwirt restaurant at the trailhead, where you can refuel and rest before continuing your trek.

Throughout the hike, you will also come across several points of interest, including benches, viewpoints, and information spots providing insights into the local area.
